Hello,

Lower back pain is commonly caused by an intervertebral disk disease, commonly referred to as a slipped disc.
When the disk touches or compresses a nerve, it causes spasm of the back muscles. This then causes torso stiffness and reduces the movements with simple movements now becoming uncomfortable or outright painful.

I would advise you to have an MRI of your lumbar spine to assess the extent of disease and also to enable you to get a treatment option which will likely be physiotherapy.

All the best.
