What Causes Lower Back Pain?

Hi, I have been having lower back pain for more than a week..it gets worst at night and I am unable to sleep. I consulted two doctors. One said its a slip disc and the other said its not. I am taking pain killer but I am confused..I Dont know what to believe. pls help

Dear thanks for the question.

Slipped disc is highly painful condition. It happens due to sudden jerk. You need to visit an orthopaedic expert for examination. You may require x ray , CT scan to come to final diagnosis. However if you have relief by pain killers then it must be muscle related, which is a non serious condition. Take rest, do some physiotherapy for relief.
