What Causes Lower Back Pain?

I have lower right Side back pain.I have a blood test and urine specimen .Also an X-ray of my lower back was done. I m 74 year old female with a form of Scoliosis but not a severe form. None of the tests or X-Ray showed any thing of significance. The pain is debilitating. Could it be a severe muscle pull? Should Fexeril help? How long on the average does it take to feel better?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

If X-ray is ok and pain is persisting, MRI of spine is required to know the cause of pain. It can be due to prolapsed disc most likely.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepak Sundriyal, Oncologist
