What Causes Lower Back Pain?

I have been having pain in my back and along the sides. Also , lower back pain. The pain is temporarily relieved if I pass gas or have a bowel movement. Last night approximately 2am I vomited twice. Felt a little better, but the side and back pain are back. All I can do is rock back and forth, with the pain. Sometimes I will belch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You are having the pain and discomfort due to a suspected abdominal infection causing indigestion. You can take domperidone for vomiting and NSAID like Advil for pain. An antacid gel will help too. Have soft and bland diet. Avoid heavy, junk and gassy foods and tea and coffee.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
