Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day I have lower back pain shooting down one side of my leg..possibly sciatic nerve pain. Also experienced cold shivers while trying to stretch out my leg to relieve the pain. What home rememdy treatments can I use? I currently use a TENS electrotherapy device
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your leg pain.
As per your history you seems to have sciatic nerve compression. As you said it is associated with fever, if there is any home remedy for the sciatic nerve compression it is rest.
You need to take as much rest as possible and don't left any weight which may sprain on your back.
You can also take pain killers like NSAID or the gabapentine only after consulting your doctor. Avoid any physical exercise till not recommended by doctor or physiotherapist.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further to ask.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
