Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Lower Backache While Suffering From Uterine Fibroids?
Dear Doctor, I am 54 with fibroids at 5cm and 4cm. I am undecided whether to remove via open surgery or laparoscopic surgery. I intend to remove my uterus as well. I no longer have my period. Currently I only have lower backache sometimes. Thank you.
If the fibrinoids don't cause symptoms to you such bleeding, frequent urination, difficulty in passing bowel movement or pain in the lower abdomen, there is no need to remove them. Being in menopause help them not growing anymore and shrink. If you have any symptoms of the above mentioned you may need to remove them surgically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
