What Causes Lower Left Abdominal Pain, Bloating, Headache And Tiredness?

I have been having low abdominal pain for a while. Mostly on the left. It seems to radiate to the tops of my legs and low back. I have had endometrial abalation 10 years ago so I do not have a cycle, But this pain resembles period cramps. I have had spotting at times for a few months. I have trouble eating at times, Like nothing agrees with me and I bloat bad every time I eat. I am constantly tired everyday and have no energy. I have terrible headaches everyday. I have to work so I keep pushing myself everyday but these symptoms are bothersome. I will take Tylenol or Motrin sometimes, but it doesn t help. I do not take any other meds. Could this just be IBS?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is history of endometrial ablation and occasional spotting with headache and tiredness, it indicates underlying hormone imbalance issue most likely from recurrent endometriosis particularly over left hemi pelvis, descending or sigmoid colon mesenteries most likely.

Primary screening with ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis with or without a CT scan will help to clear out the doubts of possible diagnosis and one can figure out best management guidelines depending upon the results of the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
