Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
May-year-old son is complaining of pain in his lower left side of his stomach. Not his regular type of stomach ache where he has to go to the bathroom. This is more of just a pain that s waking him up out of his sleep only on the left side. I am very concerned and wondering if you can give me some advice
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have left abdominal pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like diverticulitis , constipation , intestinal obstruction , left ovarian cyst , left kidney stones or ectopic pregnancy . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , stool test along with endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole , omeprazole or ask your to modify your diet .
