What Causes Lower Left Pelvic Pain When Diagnosed With Intrahepatic Bile Duct Dilatation?
I have groin pain on left side, test came back mild diffuse intrahepatic bile duct dilation. The common bile duct measures 13 mm in diameter. All other text came back normal. I do not have a gallbladder or appendix. My GI Dr. says he does not know why i have left side groin pain. Why is he testing my liver? Is 13mm in diameter large. I m confused.

What Causes Lower Left Pelvic Pain When Diagnosed With Intrahepatic Bile Duct Dilatation?
Hello, The two are likely not related. You should probably have an MRCP scan of your liver, and possibly ultrasound for your groin problem could be a hernia. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
