What Causes Lower Left Side Abdominal Pain Post A Colonoscopy?
I had a colonoscopy a week ago Thursday. This Thursday I had pain in my lower left side. It was worse Thurs. but Friday better. Not stabbing but continuous and mild pain. It is tender when I press the area. It has gotten much better and almost gone but if I eat something it is more noticeable. I am having bowel movement but it is small amounts and harder than a normal movement. Should I have this checked?
As per your query about mild left sided abdominal pain, it seems to be due to constipation. You need to take much fibre rich diet and avoid oily spicy junk foods. You can take stool softener or laxative to get relief from it. If the pain persists after constipation is relieved you should consult a physician.
I hope the information helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Jyoti Pandey
