What Causes Lower Right Abdominal Pain And Vomiting In A Child?

My toddler is 3 and has pain in the lower right quadrant since Thursday night. At that time he had vomiting with stomach pain. No more vomiting but he has liquid gas events and continues to complain about pain. He has been taking gas relief drops orally since Friday. Could this be appendicitis? No fever

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Lower right abdominal pain with vomiting could be due to the appendicitis, gastroenteritis, intestinal infection, indigestion, constipation.
I would suggest to consult the pediatrician and undergo clinical examination, routine blood tests, USG scan to confirm the cause
Treatment will depend on the specific cause so do not hesitate to consult the pediatrician.
Appendicitis require surgery, anti inflammatory drug
Syrup dicyclomine and ibugesic will help you
Hope this may help you
