Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having lower right abdominal pain. It is a shooting pain when I get up and the first few steps I take then it just goes to a dull ache. I have been having constipation and hip pain for the last few weeks. I am not sure if it is all related but it became worse today with the lower abdomen pain.
The combined symptoms of right lower abdominal pain, hip pain and the character of increasing on getting up, taking few steps and then going to dull ache along with constipation is suggestive of some sinister problem.
I would advise you the following: CT scan of the abdomen and the hip joints. Colonoscopy. This will help to decide whether there is a primary hip[ joint inflammation or a cancer or inflammatory process in the appendix colon area.
