What Causes Lower Right Jaw Pain After Fitting A Temporary Crown?
hi re lower back moler i just had a new crown fitted. It was pressure sensitive but not temperature the dentist adjusted the height of the new crown and at the same time has fitted a temporary crown on the upper right moler which is directly above the new crown the problem they are not pressure or temperature sensitive but if i rest and get up lower right jaw starts to ache and i need to take an aspirin
As per your complain pain in jaw after placement of the crown and in case if the bite is alright there is a chance that the tooth may need a root canal as the pain can be due to inflammation of nerve..
In case if the cutting of the tooth is done in excess there can be inflammation of nerve leading to pain and at times the pain can radiate to the jaw..
Pain on getting up after resting seems to be due to blood pressure changes that occurs when posture is changed, and therefore can be a cause for throbbing and pain..
I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get an x Ray done and in case if the x Ray shows pathological changes due to inflammation of the nerve the tooth should be treated by Root Canal Treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
