What Causes Lowering Of Blood Count In Person With Dilated Cardiomyopathy?

Hello Doctor
My husband has Dilated Cardiomyopathy. HIs EF is about 20 to 25%. His blood ws tested about 3 weeks ago and his red blood count was extremely low. He is lightheaded and sweating and his Diastolic is no higher than 45. He is not eating or sleeping and is on 2-3 liters of oxygen 24/7. He is on Carvedilol and Furosimide. His energy levels is very low. We left our old Cardiologist and are in the process of getting another one. Do you think that the ER will be able to check to see why his red blood cells are so very bad? I am his wife and the only caregiver. Can you help?
