What Causes Lump At The Back Of Head Of A Multiple Sclerosis Patient?
I just finished a letter to a dr. I saw many years ago and you pop up! Yeah! No 2 week wait for an answer! I am a 60 yr. old lady. I have had M.S. for about 35 years but not diagnosed until 1990. 2 years ago I fell and hit the back of my head pretty hard on the ground. I live in the mountains of Mt. so the ground is very, very hard (mostly rock). I hit the back of my head so hard that I saw stars (it was only noon!) It was the 2nd extremely hard hit I have had in the same spot. It was a very hard bump and I could cup my hand around it (about the size of a regular hamburger bun). There is still somewhat of a bump (no pain) and I m a little worried. I did not go to a dr.- he s 55 miles away. I felt fine. A slight headache the next day (I m sorry, but I can t help it) ...if you could hear my neighbors voice too, you d have a headache for a week......) there... I got it out.... I apologize..... I have M.S. and my sense of humor makes me smile and others crack up which makes me smile and I can use every single drip of good bodily chemicals my body can get. Back to medicine.....I feel OK (all things considered) but the bump is still there and would another bump in the same area be something to worry about.....I m very clumsy. M.S. does that to a person. Thank You So Very Much Melodi
It is not related to MS. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Possible causes like swollen lymph node or other benign conditions must be ruled out. A fine needle biopsy may be required in case of diagnostic confusion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
