What Causes Lump In The Ear?
About a year back, I felt average intensity pain in my right ear and I put 2-3 drops of soda glycerin. It worked but not fully. Later I was given some antibiotics too. The pain subsided but I felt small lump at/near the hinge between lower and the upper. The lump does not pain the moment but a very slow increase in it s size is being noticed. Now the pain has restarted. Shall be grateful for your urgent advice. Regards HM Kureishy

The swelling is likely to be due to an infection called as furunculosis. This is caused by bacteria and will need antibiotics for curing it. Please meet your ent doctor , he will examine you and prescribe the necessary medications. Please dont worry , you will be fine!
