What Causes Lump Near The Neck Behind The Collar Bone?
I noticed a soft lump sitting near the neck on my right side behind my collar bone. It does not hurt when I touch it and I don't see/have any other symptons that I've noticed anyway. It seems like a soft fatty lump or ball the size of the palm of my hand. If I take off my shirt off it is visible as it protrudes up like a bump. What is it??

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general or an ENT surgeon, for clinical evaluation. your neck lesion could be a cervical lymphadenopathy which may be secondary to a recent infection. it could also be alesion of thyroid gland in origin. these tumor lesions are best evaluated clinically. neck ultrasound, ct-scan or a tissue diagnosis thru a biopsy may also be recommended. management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.
