Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a lump on my left butt cheek and its been there for a while its making worried. i thought it was acne and i used a solution for it and its still on my butt amd i even use a hot washcloth to see if it would go down amd increased my showers by taking three a day amd nthn has worked can you help me idnetify what it is
If the lump has not change in size, if it is soft, round and moving under the skin- it is usually a cyst. A cyst is normally nothing to worry about. Painful lumps can be due to hair follicles which have been infected. They are also nothing to worry about and will go away with the time gradually. Have a face-to-face consultationn with your doctor for an accurate diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General & Family Physician
