What Causes Lump On Right Side Of Neck?

I have a hard lump on the right back side of my neck. I noticed it about 6 months ago. It was pea size at first and then a week ago grew to about a small gumball. Then this morning it s back down. Could it be glands. It was quite uncomfortable when it got bigger pretty hard. Does not move and hard still

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.You should be worried but not too much. I see similar cases amongst young people who visit my clinic.It is enlarged lymphatic node due different causes as
- viruses(adenoirus, EBV,CMV,HHV 6 type and etc);
- bacteria(Stretococcus,St.aureus);
- frequent tonsillitis, pharyngitis and other infection in the neck region.
