What Causes Lump On Shin While Having Fractured Ankle?
My son fractured his growth plate on his right ankle. We saw an orthopedic specialist yesterday. He has to wear a boot for 4 weeks but I noticed a lump on his shin on the right leg today that wasn t there yesterday he doesn t recall falling or hitting his leg. It only hurts when you touch it. Is there need for concern?

Swelling you are concerned is mostly hematoma that occurs around fracture. It happens after every fracture and takes around week to disappear. Continue with slab support and medications and do not worry. Swelling will not be seen after removal of slab. Start tab chymoral forte thrice a day for 7 days before meals.
