Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump under the skin on the underside of my foot. It has happened over time with one foot having a slight lump, and the other foot a more pronounced lump. I have very high arches, and have been wearing custom orthotics for a few years. I work 6 to 8 hours a day on my feet, but I haven t checked my feet for about 2 years. I have no history of foot injury. Should I have a professional inspect my foot, and could surgery be required?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lump on the bottom of the foot . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like corns , callus , diabetic foot and plantar Fibromas . I would suggest you to consult podiatrist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and recommend steroid injection , orthopedic shoe and physical therapy . Doctor may also prescribe salicylic acid gel to disolve keratinization . For now give your foot proper rest and put your foot in hot water tub for 15 minutes daily with one spoon of salt in it .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
