Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my 3 year old woke up with a bump on he's bottom lip and it keeps getting bigger because he doesn't stop playing with it.. it started as a rash and now it kinda looks like a huge pimple growing on the inside of he's lip a little bit like a cold sore. It's really bothering him and he's having a hard time to eat.
So sorry to hear about your son's problem and will try my level best to resolve it..
As per your complain a painful large pimple like bump on the inside of inner lower lip seems to be most probably due to formation of an Apthous Ulcer or Canker sore.. As far as cold sore is concerned the appearance does not looks like cold sore as it appears as a cluster of fluid filled blisters.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or a Pedodontist and get evaluated and he can do a proper clinical evaluation and advise you accordingly.. As of now you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the Ulcer to relieve pain.. You can also do cool compresses over it.. Give him soft and bland diet.. Make him drink plenty of water..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
