Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom is 75 years old and for the last week she has been complaining about a weird sensation coming from her right ear down her neck. She said it felt like hair crawling on her neck and there was nothing there when she looked. Later she noticed there was a lump on the throat area just below her right ear. She has also been complaining of shooting pain in her ear and not being able to sleep without taking something for the pain. She was referred to a doctor; which she saw and he mentioned something about doing a sonogram to check her thyroid out. The question I have for you is does this sound like a thyroid issue to you?
