He advised me that it was not a knot and to get it check out if it s still there in a week. Now a few days have past and I have 2 more lumps on the side of my neck what could this be?

Hi,
From history it seems that now you are having more then one lump in that area indicates that there might be having enlarges lymph nodes in occipital area giving rise this problem.
It shows that there might be having some infection in your scalp like dandruff, dermatitis or some secondary infection.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
