General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, it can be thyroid. Be under advise of endocrinologist. I can think of some urinary problem. Please get kidney function test done. Also, an over all health check up with heart and liver tests is advisable. A proper diagnosis and specific treatment is needful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
