Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently noticed bumps on my hips and under arms. I have not taken any drugs/medicines. Last night I got very ill and today I see that the rash has gotten worse, and has spread to under my breasts/top stomach. My insurance doesn t cover walk-in or emergency visits so I don t want to go if possible. Is there something I can try at home first and what is my time limit to seek help?
The lumps you describe on your hips and under your arm are mostly enlarged lymph nodes.
Viral infections are self-limiting and usually resolve within few days. However, they may result in complications.
This is unlikely to be a medical emergency, but it's advised to arrange a doctor's visit as soon as your insurance permits to receive better assessment and supportive treatment, and to avoid the development of complications.
Than you for choosing HCM. Feel free to write us any further concerns. Regards.
