What Causes Lumps On The Neck In A Child?

My 10 year old granddaughter has three lumps on her neck two on the left and one on the right. We had her to the MD for the first lump they said it was moveable so not to worry, but now 2 months later she has another one close to the first lump only it is larger and now one on the right side of her neck. Do you think it is still just caused by infection, she ha s not been ill?

Hi,

You should evaluate her lump further.

For that FNAC investigation has to be done in which material is aspirated from lump and spread on slide to watch under microscope.

It will help in rule out nature of lesion whether it is Benign or malignant.

You can Consult otorhinolaryngologist or surgeon for discussion of all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
