What Causes Lumps With Blisters On Top Of Arms And Back?

My son got a bad sunburn two days ago. It blistered on the tops of his arms (between shoulders and elbows). Now he has large knots that look like big muscles under his arms below the blisters. The burn was his arms, back , and stomach. Only the one area blistered though. What are these knots? One sides knot is bigger.

I really appreciate your concern, such swelling could be due to lymph nod and infection may be the cause of this and this need be rule out, some time antibiotic may be needed once the infection confirmed, hope this helps, and have a nice day.
