Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a lung infection for a month now. I am on my third round of antibiotics and as soon as they are done it comes back. They just checked for pneumonia but did not call so I am assuming it is not that. What is going on. I am not a smoker nor do I have asthma.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Lung infection sometimes need 4-6 weeks of antibiotics to get settle. I would suggest you to have a repeated chest Xray. Sputum microscopy for AFB and sputum for culture and sensitivity. I would be in a better position to help you if you provide me reports of these investigations. Hope it helps best. Take your best care. Don't forget to rate this answer and close the discussion at Healthcare Magic. Regards Dr Ejaz
