What Causes Massive Headaches Along With Stiffness In Lower Jaw?

I m 42 years old and I had a masive headech with numbness and stiffness in lower jaw and wickness in my arms. Prior to those symptoms I had severe dizziness (3 days difference) felling like I will faint & vomiting. The pressure in the sides of my head is still there, the weknesses is extending to entire body, coming and going. Those symptoms developed after I lose my parents in the same year, 2 years ago. Can you tell me please if this was a stroke? I got diagnose for Photofobia but I did not had any problem with strong lights actualy I was irresponsive to light test.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of massive headaches along with stiffness in lower jaw which is mainly because of temporomandibular joint dislocation of inflammation of temporomandibular joint. It could be due to stress, systemic pathology and heart related pathology as well. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist/ dentist once and get it examined completely. If it is due to TMJ disorder then go for mouth stretching exercises, blow in blow out are of the the exercises. If it is related to throat infection take proper course of antibiotics such as Azithromycin. Do warm saline gargles. Do betadine rinses. Maintain hygiene of oral cavity. Take anti-inflammatory drugs. Start taking Tylenol for neck pain. Your symptoms will resolve soon.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes,
