Hello,
You are developing limping problems that goes away after a short period. Such symptom may be caused by
hamstring strain when the muscle gets stretched, injury to the hamstring may take a longer time to heal, cause hurt and limping. Sometimes, trauma / injury to the patellar tendon causes limping as it is the main tendon that helps in straightening of the leg. This may cause pain and difficulty in straightening of the leg. Limping may also be caused due to weakness, pain, neuromuscular imbalance, or a skeletal
deformity, Baker's cyst, etc.
Cause of painful limp is physical trauma. other medical conditions that cause may be
septic arthritis or slipped capital femoral
epiphysis, OA, knee bursitis, etc. Avoid activities that strain your knee and legs. Give rest to your leg. Cold compress and
elastic bandage may help. Keep your leg elevated to ease discomfort. You can take NSAIDS, Naproxen /
Combiflam, one SOS when needed. Massage by a therapist may help.
Physical therapy is effective. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP / orthopedic, get blood tests and X-ray, CT and MRI done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
