The VA has been prescribing Metformin for diabetes for me for a number of years. My brain function has been slowly decreasing. The my equilibrium (sp?) Got really bad to where I would have easily failed a drunk driving test trying to walk toe to toe. I went into the free walk-in clinic one day and saw a different doctor. (the VA had not found the problem) Dr. Sullivan told me to get off on metformin, which I did immediately. The next morning, my equilibrium problem was greatly decreased. But my brain problems are still a problem. I can not remember many things, my thinking is inferior, even to the point where I have gone from a successful business person to a homeless person. What are your thoughts?
