What Causes Memory Loos, Poor Appetite And Hypersomnia In An Elderly Woman?

my mom is 85, has memory loss, appetite loss, sleeps 12-14 hours but is otherwise very healthy. Walks with no assistance, can bend over very well, climbs stairs exceptionally well, when I say memory loss it is what she was just doing not the past or people. Lastly states she wants to die. What speciality should I take her too?

Hi,

First she can see a neurologist to exclude organic brain lesion by doing a brain imaging, then a psychiatrist if there is no brain lesion.
