Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Memory Loss Along With Nausea And Appetite Loss?
My aunt is having periods of memory loss. She gets nauseated, then she has a loss of appetite followed by a short time of memory loss. She can tell you the last thing she remembers and she can tell you the first thing she remembered when it comes back. But never can remember what happened during the time lost.
Hello there. I have read through your question and would like to tell you that Your aunt is showing signs of Alzheimer disease. Short term memory loss is one of the prominent signs of Alzheimer. It may cause a lot of agitation and feeling of helplessness in the patient which in turn may lead to loss of appetite. You have not mentioned her age here. I would suggest you to get her tested for signs of dementia by a neurologist. I hope that answers your question. If you have any other questions please feel free to write.
