What Causes Memory Loss And Constant Fidgeting After Laminectomy And Spinal Fusion?
Before my 67 year old mothers Laminectomy and Fusions she could carry on a conversation, cook, clean, eat and do all the things a healthy person could do except stay on her feet for long due to the pain. Since her surgery she is unable to hold a normal conversation as she loses her train of thought or just stops in mid sentence and never finishes or even remember she started to say something. She will talk about things that we do not know where they are coming from or what they relate to. She will read words on the tv screen but not remember what you told her 2 minutes ago. She may recognize you one minute and think you are someone else the next. She believed that she was going to talk to my deceased father and that she had spoken with her deceased mother at one point as well. She is constantly fidgeting and doesn t realize she is doing it. She may have motor skills one time and be able to use a fork or spoon and then other times its like she doesn t know how. The surgeon said the surgery went well and there were no problems. The doctor treating her now at the rehabilitation hospital is at a loss as to what is causing this issue and how to treat it. Someone please help
