Hi, i am taking GABAPENTIN 300mg for treatment of a trapped nerve in my neck/ shoulder. They are 300mg tablets. It appears that i am now on the maximum dose of 3600mg a day = 12 tablets. The main side affect i am having apart from loss of memory is dark urine ! Should i advise my doctor. Thank you.
If you are noticing dark urine you should definitely contact your doctor.
It may not necessarily be related to Gabapentin but it certainly needs to be investigated for the cause as it may be due to blood in urine, muscle damage, liver damage etc, urine and blood tests are needed to determine the cause.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
