Hello,

You had CT scan done. The CT showed chronic small vessel ischemic disease and presently you are experiencing memory loss and loss of appetite while being treated for fibromyalgia. You have not mentioned what medicines you have been taking for fibromyalgia. Some medicines have side effects, inform your treating doctor so that medicines can be monitored more closely and precisely.

Since your CT shows chronic small vessel ischemic disease, it means there are changes in the small blood vessels in the brain. Changes to these vessels can damage white matter, white matter disease causes changes in the memory by shrinking the brain, and if left untreated may cause dementia. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood tests, urinalysis, CBC, imaging tests done to get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
