Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am 57 years old and still getting my period. I recently had my FSH checked and it was 48.5 indicating I am post menopause. Is it normal to still be getting my period? How could my results be 48.5 if I am still getting my period and my thyroid checked out ok.
hi.... Low FSH level doesn't indicate menopause.... it could be one of signals of reaching menopause.... it could be non ovulatory cycles. I will suggest to consult gynaecologist to rule out other causes vaginal bleeding considering your age. It is not normal to get periods at the age oh 57.
