Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last 8 months we are trying for baby. My Period cycle was 30 days was accurate. But in june it delayed for 17 days. So we thought some good news will be there but today suddenly i got periods(Mensuration). I am worried that Do i have any internal problem or why it happened?
I would advise you to have a urinary pregnancy first. Pregnant women may have some bleeding in the first trimester. If the pregnancy test is positive and you have no pain, just keep an eye on the bleeding. If the bleeding increases or you start to get low abdominal pain, you should have a check with your doctor and a transvaginal ultrasound to make sure the pregnancy is in the womb.
If the pregnancy test is negative then this is a period and you will need to continue trying for pregnancy. If you get irregular bleeding again then you will need a check with the doctor to understand the cause of the irregular bleeding.
I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. Let me know if I may assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
