What Causes Mental Illness While On Medication For H.pylori Infection?
My wife has h pylori and has gone through two rounds of treatment. one was the 1-2-3 combination which did not work and now she has competed pylera and that did not work. The issue is she has had significant mental changes that have now gone on for weeks. What in these medications could cause this side effect.

None of the medications used to treat helicobacter pylori can cause mental issues. I think that the problem may be related to reinfection more than to non-effectiveness of the treatment. Please check the possible causes which could make it reoccur such contaminated water or food. She can make a culture of helicobacter to see antibiotics which can be better used.
