What Causes Mesenteric Panniculitis?

Hello my DAD was just diagnosed with messenteric penniculitis and this is new to the Doctors here at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida and its is very scary watching My DAD go through this at the age of 85 with diabetes is there a medication they can give him that will not upset the diabetes concerned daughter

This is caused by viral infections in most cases and usually there is no specific treatment required and it passes on itseld. in rare cases it may be caused by diverticulitis which is inflammation of colon wall and there antibiotics may be required so you should consult your doctor.
