What Causes Metallic Odor In The Hair Along With Frizziness?

Recently, my hair has taken on an odd, metallic, odor. It s magnified when wet and I ve tried multiple products to rectify the problem, including: clarifying shampoo; tea tree shampoo and antibacterial soap. Additionally, the texture of my hair has changed. It was, as recent as a month ago, naturally curly. It is now, partially curly but, mostly, frizzy.

I have seen similar cases like yours in my clinic. There are many reasons for smelling hair like stress, washing hair frequently, any infections or simply dryness, poor diet etc. Do you have any infections / dandruff on your scalp. If so then its better to consult a dermatologist and get prescribed to respective shampoos. If not then I suggest you to take hair bath twice a week with aloe vera gel and Vitamin E oil to it. Try this for a month. If symptoms persist then do consult a dermatologist.
