What Causes Metallic Taste In Mouth After Recovering From Sinusitis?
Hi. I recently had an upper respiratory infection, sinus infection and ear infection. I used over the counter medication (advil cold and sinus) and basically self treated with fluids, rest, etc. I ve noticed since I have recovered that I have a metallic taste in my mouth. I do take a low dose of lisinopril for HBP. What could this be from? Do I need to be concerned?
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. The metallic taste can be secondary to either the antibiotics you have taken for the infection and the other possible cause can be because of the loss of papillae in the tongue secondary to cold or respiratory tract infection. Nothing to be panic, you will be fine in a week time. Do saline gargling and take vitamin B6 and 12. I hope i have answered your query. Take care
