What Causes Metallic Taste In Mouth And Tingling Sensation In Lower Lip?
I have been having a metallic taste in my mouth for a couple of days now and a slight tingling in my lower lip. I did have a temporary filling added to my lower front tooth about a week ago and that is the only thing i can think of that may be causing it- any suggestions?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have metallic taste in mouth and tingling sensation in lower lip which seems to be due to your recent dental work as there is pressure on nerve supplying lower lip and there is dissolution of filling leading to taste.
Need not to worry. Visit oral physician once and get it examined again and start treatment accordingly. Get that tooth X-rayed as well. Apply cold compresses to lower lip. Chew on sugar free candies and drink plenty of fluids. Suck on ice pops. Maintain oral hygiene and take nerve stimulating medications, it will take around 2 weeks for nerve to regenerate.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
