What Causes Metallic Taste In Mouth?

I ve had a metallic/sweet taste in my mouth for about two weeks now and I ve researched what can cause that. I m not on any antibiotics and I have very good oral hygiene. I m concerned as to why this is happening? Could it be an early sign of HIV? I was tested at 8 weeks from unprotected sex and it came back negative...

Hello. welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. This type of change taste definetely indicates some hidden disturbance in the body.Check the body temp. Without you knowing there may be slight fever which has changed the taste.After 10 Days you can check again for HIV. we cannot confirm now as the virus may be in window period. You have not mentioned whether you are boy or girl. If you are girl and taking hormones , then it leads to such type of sensation. This disturbance also can be confirmed if there is changes in your periods. If you are still having doubts please write back to us.
