What Causes Metallic Taste In The Mouth And A Rash On The Face In Thyroid And Autoimmune Disease Patient?
I have a hypo thyroid and am being tested for auto immune disease as well. Today , I have a metallic taste in my mouth. It started last night My face is broken out in a rash as well. Would Auto Immune or Thyroid disorders cause these two symptoms?
As per your complain metallic taste in mouth and rash on face can be a side effect of any medication that you might be taking while can also be due to allergic reaction to any food.. It can also be due to viral infection leading to rash and bad taste..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or your treating physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood test, oral swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can take symptomatic treatment to relieve the symptoms like apply Calamine lotion over the face and also do cool compresses over the face.. You can take anti allergics like Levocetrizine.. You can chew sugarfree chewing gum and suck tart candies.. Drink plenty of water..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
