What Causes Metallic Taste In The Mouth While On Flexeril?
I was diagnosed two years ago with neuropathy. I am not diabetic but they said it may be because of my back. My symptoms started in my legs and feet. They have me taking neurotic Monica and flexaril. Within the last several months I noticed my vision changing and a tingling metallic taste in my mouth. What do you think?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain Flexaril contains active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine and the symptoms you are facing seems to be a side effect of it.. It can also cause dry mouth which can in turn cause tingling and metallic taste in mouth..
Blurred vision is also a side effect of this medication..
Therefore you need to consult your treating Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like oral examination, blood test and vision testing and retinoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment will then be advised accordingly..
As of now you can gargle with warm saline water.. Gargle with flavoured antimicrobial mouthwash.. Chew flavoured sugar free chewing gum.. Drink plenty of water..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
