What Causes Mild Fever Along With Chills And Headache?

My 17 year old son has had some chills and mild headache since last evening. He is running a fever of 100 right now. His stomach is somewhat upset (on and off) and his headache gets worse when he stands up. trying to decide if I should take him to emergency room or wait til tomorrow and visit urgent care. Just gave him tylenol so I don t know if that will help with the fever and headache.

Hi.
As I had gone through your question I can understand that your son may be suffering with Gastritis and head ache may be because of fever too.
My treatment to it will be;

1).You can give him paracetamol (Tylenol) after every six hours for fever control.

2). Antibiotics like Augmenting for infection which is the cause of fever.

3). Yes you can take him to ER if fever is high and continues for long period.
