What Causes Mild Fever And Abdominal Pain?

Dealing with intense abdominal pain. Seeing GP next Wed. Do I need to go sooner? Does this go with UTI territory? Never had one before. Still bit incontinent, about to take 3rd antibiotic and 4th Orange dye. Alternating between drenching sweats and freezing. But not necessarily a full on fever.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

UTI is a possibility. You can go for a urine culture study to look for signs of infection.

If there is an infection, antibiotics must be started and most cases respond well to antibiotics.

Ultrasound abdomen is also needed to rule out stone disease and appendicitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
