What Causes Mild Fever And Right-sided Chest Pain While Treating Herpes?

I recently had a herpes outbreak brought on by my 15 year old son stressing me out by being irresponsible at school. Now my inner right side of the chest hurts and I ve been weak and had a small fever. I also traveled from Dallas to California to bring my daughter to a college preview. What is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Sir
1.You might have caught simple cold.Use Paracetamol to alleviate fever.
2.Do a chest x-ray PA view to see if there is any spots or other unusual signs in your lung.
3.Herpes simplex pneumonia is a extremely rare kind of disease in an immunocompetent individual.
If you don't have any history of diabetes, steroid administration or chemo-radiation for cancer ,you don't have to worry much.
4.You can take prophylactically course of acyclovir (400) for a week and a short dose of antibiotics like co-amoxiclav 625 for five days will be helpful.

DON'T worry..stay positive.
thank you
